Trees-Ambience Store Project #8n
‘Trees – Ambience Store Project #8’ Artist Statement
The Ambience Store Project was a year long program of exhibitions held at Queensland design institution Ambience Store. Conceived and Curated by Carrie McCarthy, the program saw rotating solo exhibitions presented by artists within a furniture design environment.
In addition to myself, the artists who presented solo exhibitions as part of this program included: Gary Abkin, Lucy Anderson, Millie Bartlett, Sue Beyer, Raw Bones, Ray Coffey, Nancy Constandelia, Helle Cook, Jeremy Eden, Andy Harwood, Gabrielle Jones, Clairy Laurence, Helen McCulloch, Alison Mooney, Damien Pasquale, Elysha Rei, Denise Reichenbach, Carol Schwarzman, Charlotte Tegan, Tanya Wales, Carolyn V. Watson, Rachael Wellich, Benjamin Werner, Amica Whincop, Emma E. Wright, Febe Zylstra.
I was excited to be involved in showing my work in a domestic environment. My selection of work revolved around the recurring Tree motif and combined watercolours on board, charcoals on board and oil paintings.
